Police Honor Fete for Millside Officers at College Inn
Hillside Kiwanis honored five Millside Police Department members for long service at College Inn. Officers included Deputy Chief Harry Schuetzle Sgt J Clarence Van Deursen Det Sgt William Dieroff Sr Chief Ernest Voelk and Deputy Chief Charles Grant all about 36 37 and 38 years. Magistrate Henry Goldhor presented engraved key chains as a birthday anniversary was observed for Chief Voelk. A Meadowbrook Dinner Theater program by Gary McHugh and Charlotte Prinser accompanied by Kenneth de Vries highlighted NJ theater innovations including Papermill Lambertville Music Circus and Bergen Mall theater Paramus.

Junior and senior students toured Stratford Theater in Connecticut for a Shakespeare program and a costume exhibit. A Home Economics fashion show showcased student-made designs for all grades. May 1 featured Scholastic Aptitude Tests and other college placement exams. The PTA wrapped with an girls gym show titled Aquabatics highlighting new routines and cheer squads.
