Joseph Ram, Republican candidate for Township Committee, writes that the 1962 tax revaluation is premature and would burden homeowners. He urges reverting to last year’s assessments and cutting a $51,546 reserve for uncollected taxes, arguing the tax rate would drop about nine points. He warns that shifting the burden to residents is greater in Hillside than in nearby towns and questions haste behind new valuations.
