Hillside Avenue School PTA met March 4 in the Art Room with President Mrs. Erwin Schuman and officers naming plans to attend a regional conference at Par Hills. Principal Miss Edna Doll announced a mathematics workshop for teachers and a reading group for eighth graders. 28 eighth graders attended a rehearsal at the Metropolitan Opera on March 9. Music chair Mrs. Sidney Fastow led. Mrs. Sidney J. Friedman led a discussion on parenting challenges with peers.

Founders Day Program At Hillside High School Observed
The Annual P T A Founders Day program drew all town P T A groups to Hillside High School. Mrs. Donald E. Gillmore presided, Mrs. William W. Tinschmidt spoke, Mrs. Charles T. Wagner played organ, Dr. Wagner Branom welcomed attendees, and tribute was paid to founders Phoebe Apperson Hearst and Alice McClellan Birney.
