Township revokes Wenzler dance permit at Blue Ribbon Inn
The Township Committee voted to revoke the Blue Ribbon Inn dance hall license owned by Fred Wenzler amid ongoing disputes over country music jamborees. Judge Harold Ackerman’s order limits entertainment to incidental restaurant, bar and catering uses and prohibits advertising or featuring entertainment as a primary attraction. Wenzler and mother, appealing the ruling, argue the action unfairly restricts their business and question several quoted passages in the decision.
