Vote By Districts In Education Budget Election Heads
Voters approved both sections of the Board of Education budget and reelected incumbents Conrad A. Cammarota and John Beattie while electing Seymour Bierman as a new member. Bierman led with 1,081 votes, Beattie 1,060, Cammarota 1,005, and others trailed. The two-budget parts each passed, with Cur rent Expense 1,077 to 642 and Capital Outlay 1,031 to 646. Turnout totaled 2,414 with Hillside Avenue School producing 491 voters. Organization of the new board is set for Monday at 8 PM in the Administration Building.

Funeral Services Held for Former Hillside Mayor Raymond King
Funeral services were held Tuesday for former Hillside mayor Raymond R. King of Manasquan. Died Saturday at Pitkin Memorial Hospital Neptune at age 65. Born Newark he moved to Manasquan five years ago after 33 years in Hillside. King a Republican served two terms as mayor nine years on the Township Committee nine years on the Board of Education and was active in youth programs. WWII veteran and former American Legion commander. former Rotary president. Lodge 241 F&AM member. life member of Local 70 PBA and Local 35 FMBA. He attended South Side High School Newark and Lafayette College. Delta Kappa Epsilon. Survived by wife Ethel Joralemon King a son C Raymond King three grandchildren and siblings.

Troop 99 Wins First in Scout Week Display
Troop 99 sponsored by Christ The King Church won first place for its Boy Scout Week display in a two day event by the Eastern District Union Council of Boy Scouts. The indoor outdoor camp site featured equipment, a signaling and first aid demonstration, and a Kennedy memorial replica at the store entrance with an honor guard and taps by the troop bugler. Plans were announced for an oversite camp trip to Surprise Lake on February 29 and March 1.

Hillside Ambulance Squad elects Eleanor L O Neill president
Eleanor L. O Neill was elected president of the Hillside Ambulance Squad for 1964, one of the few women in New Jersey to hold the office. Other officers include Charles Pavlak as Vice President and Michael Starkus as Captain, with trustees named to include Goldberg and Martin among others. The squad reported 84 emergency calls and 12,290 volunteer man hours, plus provision of medical supplies to Hillside residents. Parents and friends visited Temple Shomrei Torah Hebrew School, where children studied and spoke with teachers, and planted trees in Israel for Jewish Arbor Day observed January 29.
