The Chief of Naval Personnel forwards congratulations to Ens Frank I. Nulton DISN son of Col and Mrs Henry G. Nulton of 33 Beechwood Place for earning the Distinguished Flying Cross and Air Medal. He served as second pilot in Air Transport Squadron 21 Detachment over enemy territory in Korea from Oct 4, 1950 to Jan 25, 1951, logging 35 missions around Pusan Wonsan Kimpo Yonpo Suwon Taegu. His airmanship and courage aided in transporting personnel into combat zones and upheld U S Naval Service traditions. He also earned the Air Medal for 10 missions from Oct 4 to Oct 31 1950 over Pusan Wonsan Kimpo Yongpo, contributing to successful transports and showcasing dedication to duty.

Final arrangements are set for the Christ the King Church second annual parish picnic at Angeles Grove Union on Saturday August 30 under General Chairman Henry B. Grant with honorary chairmen Rev Perry G DeWitt and Rev Gerard B Whelan. The program features games prizes door prizes entertainment dancing and food and all are invited.
Four hubcaps were taken from Irving Friedman's car at 273 Bernard terrace while parked near the Lehigh Valley Railroad crossing on Hillside avenue. Loss valued at 20 dollars. Earlier, Elizbeth Kohlhepp found several hubcaps scattered in her driveway at 543 Bucharian street after the thief was frightened off.

A Monday evening crash on Route 29 involving two trailer trucks and a Royal Blue Coaches bus left six injured and disrupted traffic for over an hour. At St Barnabas Hospital Newark, Arthur W. Worthington aged 38 of Wrightstown PA and Sarah Getreu of Jersey City were treated. Worthington suffered head lacerations and possible concussion. Getreu had head, back, and knee injuries. Four others at the scene received care. police did not list ages. Worthington’s truck struck a parked trailer truck, mounted the safety median, then hit the bus and caused the crash. the truck was towed from the scene.
