Union Youth Killed In Accident and Funeral Rites Held
Funeral services were held for Thomas A. Sarn 17 Union High School football player who died when his head struck a steel rail on Route 22 after leaving a party in New York. Drivers John Fusco and Joseph Labrioio admitted drinking in NYC. Sarn fell from a car window and died at Elisabeth General Hospital. Interment followed at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

School Bus Service Dropped as State Aid Ends

Frank A Frangione son of Mr and Mrs Samuel Frangione of 1000 Thomas Street has joined Bell Telephone Laboratories Whippany after earning an M.E. from Stevens Institute of Technology in June and a 1953 Hill Side High School graduate. He is a Tau Beta Pi member. Two bakeries were robbed Liberty Avenue and Maple Avenue over the weekend. Cash and other items were stolen from both stores.
