Rapes Probe Series Tied to Hillside Incidents

Police investigate multiple rapes reported last week linked to Hillside. Victims include a Hillside woman raped at knife point in front of her children after a home intrusion near police headquarters. A Newark woman was raped by three men after being lured from a tavern. A Queens Village woman was abducted and raped in both New York and Newark before release in Elizabeth Street. New York detectives are reviewing the cases.

Burglary Report From Revere Drive Home Theft

Police said a Revere Drive residence was ransacked last weekend with 3195 dollars in jewelry and 35 dollars in cash stolen. Jan Borns reported three liquor bottles, gold watches, two gold chains, eight cuff links and earrings missing through a second floor bathroom window. An earlier burglary attempt occurred near 3 a.m. Friday at Korner Deli on John Glenn Drive, owned by Township Clerk John Kulish and Barbara Conon Page.
