Ninth District For Open Road

About 76 people attended the first meeting of the reactivated Ninth District Civic Association at Polish American Hall to protest Livingston road closure for a 720000 gym addition to the high school. Members cited traffic concerns and discussed extending Central Hollywood avenues to Morris Avenue to relieve congestion. Officers named include President John Baird and Vice President James E. Kiwanis Takes 65 To Yankee Stadium

Kiwanis Club hosted 65 children at Yankee Stadium for an Oldtimers game before the Yankees versus Tigers. Attending were David Morrison chairman Paul Kifner Dr Bernard Senner Kiwanis president Charles Shenocca and Emanuel Reiter. Children enjoyed ice cream and chocolate milk after the event.

Rutgers Institutes Train Social Workers at Summer Session

Mrs. Jean Giordano of Hillside enrolled in two of five 12 day institutes at Rutgers Graduate School of Social Work during the State University Summer Session. Kifner Elected Grande Conducteur by New Jersey 40 and 8

Paul Kilmer of 946 Salem Avenue was elected Grande Conducteur of the Grand Votion of New Jersey 40 8 a branch of the American Legion in Trenton. Attorney Myers said she sought access to her own land where a paper street would extend West King to Westminster and Revere. Planning Board tentatively approved subdivision. August 14 hearing date set for the subdivision proposal. The extension would create three 100 foot lots on one side and four 90 foot lots on the opposite side.

Tax Office Announces Evening Hours August 5
