Rotary Anns Schedule June Flea Market in Hillside
On March 23 the Rotary Anns of the Hillside Club met at the Mayhews home to plan a flea market set for Saturday June 7 from 10 am to 3 pm at the Hillside War Memorial Building Liberty Ave and Memorial Dr Hillside. Sales will feature white elephants bric a brac and antiques offered to prospective buyers. Mrs Mayhew was named chairman with Mrs Walter A Schorr Jr as co chairmen and a committee including Mrs J Patrick Growney Mrs Hubert W Lane Mrs Thaddeus J Jascor Mrs J Franklin Reinhard and Mrs Albert Swider.

Three At Rutgers Newark Named to Who's Who
Seven Union County seniors at Rutgers Newark have been selected for Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges for 1968 1969 Associate Dean Mary M Meluskey announced The three Hillside residents Barry P Frank David W Mills and Alan G Wasserman are honored for leadership in activities academics and service Frank is Newark College of Arts and Sciences senior class president Mills made the Dean's List and was active in Student Council wrestling and program boards Wasserman led the Interfraternity Council Biology Club and other groups while playing on the Bombers basketball team Also noted is a cancer public health note on the preventability of lung cancer and its rising incidence in both men and women

Fund Raising Fun by Dads Booster Club at Mayfair Theatre
The Dads Booster Club invites the public to a fund raising evening at the Mayfair Theatre on Wednesday April 9 featuring Bob Hope in The Private Navy of Sergeant O Farrell at 7 p.m. and Buena Vista Mrs Campbell at 8 30 p.m. The Hope film repeats at 10 30 p.m. Tickets are $1.00 and available from club members or at the box office.

Poranski Named To Rec Board Five Year Term
Robert J. Poranski, newly appointed to the Board of Recreation for a five year term, lives at 19 Long Ave with his wife Geraldine and two daughters. Born in Newark, he has lived in Hillside fifteen years and played varsity football and baseball in high school. He works as a credit investigator for National Newark and Essex Bank and studies business at Rutgers University after attending Youngstown University.
