Northwest Bunco Ring Said Largest in United States
The Williamson gang, a 250 member clan of bunco and confidence artists, tours the Northwest annually in a multi million dollar operation. They pose as respectable tradesmen selling roof repairs and other scams to gullible victims including seniors. Lawmen say real estate holdings total millions and new generations take over as older members retire.

Ex-Flower Child Owns Business
In Los Angeles, Wied Block, a 30 year old former flower child, leads The Olfactory Corp, one of the nation’s largest incense makers with over two million dollars in sales last year. He started from a Venice apartment bathtub operation in 1967 to meet his wife’s pregnancy, and later faded importing to craft his own scents. Block recalls discovering incense via a Bombay batch that inspired him to learn the craft and launch a line, including the claimed world’s first strawberry incense, selling through Sunset Strip head shops.
