Sky City declares quarterly dividend and opens new centers
Sky City Stores Inc announces a quarterly dividend of five cents per share payable October 11 and a fourth annual five percent stock dividend payable November 2. The company has opened three new discount centers in Laurens South Carolina Dalton Georgia and Mount Airy bringing total to 41. Six more centers are planned in 1977. In Guilford County during Q2 1976 sales of Series E and H bonds totaled 2,338,052 with January-June sales at 4,894,011. North Carolina Q2 1976 Series E and H bonds reached 25,615,238 and 51,840,734 for the first half. The state’s 1945-level peak is noted and 48.2 percent of the 107,600,000 goal is reached.

RALEIGH AP Flue cured price averages reach new all time record highs Tuesday on the Eastern North Carolina Belt and the South Carolina Border North Carolina Belt. The Federal State Market News Service reported improved quality of offerings and higher prices for many individual grades. The belt sold 7.6 million pounds Tuesday with an average of 119.99 per 100 pounds, up 25 cents from Monday. Season sales reached 189.1 million pounds and the season average was 106.01. There were gains mainly of 1 per hundred in price averages by grades on the South Carolina Border North Carolina Belt, with the belt averaging 120.20 per hundred, up 19 cents from Monday. Season sales reached 152.9 million pounds and 106.37.
