Parolee Freed After 11 Years In Prison
A Mecklen burg County man who began a life term for statutory rape in 1956 has been released on parole after serving 11 years and three months. Marvin Wooten, chairman of the State Paroles Board, said the prisoner, Olive Leburne Turnage, 54, had a perfect record in custody and was released Oct. 2. He is employed by a Kinston construction firm.
