86 Year Old Survivor Trains For Britannic Wreck Dive
Sheila MacBeth Mitchell, an 86 year old Briton living in Bolton, trains for deep sea dives in a Jacques Cousteau minisub to explore the hospital ship Britannic wrecked in 1916 off Kea Island. She previously survived the sinking as a nurse aboard the 46,000 ton liner. Cousteau plans a conducted tour but warns of risks. Mitchell seeks to recover personal belongings from cabin 237 including a sentimental antique alarm clock.

Bork Defends 1973 Cox Firing At Duke Talk
U S Solicitor General Robert Bork told Duke law students he was satisfied with his role in the October 20 1973 firing of Archibald Cox confirming there was no doubt Cox would have been fired and that the firing kept the Justice Department cohesive. He recalled Nixon's decision and the resignations of Elliot Richardson and William Ruckelshaus in the so called Saturday Night Massacre. Bork argued the alternative would have seen an outside acting attorney general firing Cox and tearing apart the department. He described the White House as unreal and noted Richardson did not agree to issue the order as the White House claimed.
