Hongkong dispatch reports Japan’s South China army of 30 000 to 50 000 moving inland from Bias Bay with little Chinese resistance. The force landed near Hongkong and advanced toward the Canton Kowloon railway to disrupt supplies to Hankow, aided by extensive air raids on Kwantung province.
