Baptists Declare War on Pornography in North Carolina
The North Carolina Baptist State Convention approved a 1977 budget of 13 million dollars and passed resolutions to ban massage parlors, X rated films, adult book stores, and obtrusive TV violence. It urged federal and state action and supported migrant and blind ministries while planning next year’s Charlotte meeting.
