Graduating Exercises Tonight at Auditorium
Graduating exercises will be held at the auditorium tonight. Awarded prizes include a Confederate history essay prize by Dallas Zcellicoffer, temperance prize by Mrs. B. K. Moot, civic improvement prizes by Woman's Club, and dress prize by Miss Clara Cox. Diplomas to be delivered. Wrenn and Cox medals for best essay and oration respectively.

Dr T F Marr addressed the largest High Point graduation class urging self knowledge and self control. He praised religious principle, intellect, beauty, and speech as key powers, warned against flippant truth, and called graduates to brave, unselfish service guided by truth.

Dics Player Dies After Being Hit by Pitch
Detroit May 22 George White 22 was struck by a pitched ball during a game between two amateur teams and died ten minutes later in hospital. The ball hit him just below the heart.
