France Employs Chinese Labor In War Effort
Paris May 13 The French senate army committee endorses expanding Chinese labor use from Annam Cochin China and Tonkin in industry and farming to aid the war effort. About 50 000 Chinese workers are already in France with plans to recruit 100 000 more. Berber and Kabyle workers from North Africa could amount to 100 000, plus 30 000 from Madagascar.
