Man Injured When Train Hits Auto Near Tomlinson Factory
Thomas Farlow of Randleman suffered a sprained ankle and minor injuries when his automobile truck was struck by a freight engine at a Broad street crossing near the Tomlinson chair factory. It was later found Roscoe Farlow, not Thomas, was driving the truck. The accident occurred about 5 p m yesterday as the truck tried to cross the tracks. the rear of the freight car pinned the vehicle and the driver was rescued with injuries. He was taken to a local hospital in stable condition for treatment.

Lightning Death Strikes Woman in Alexander County
Mrs. Myra Cicero Waugh died yesterday afternoon when lightning struck a tree in her yard at the Wang home in Alexander County. Sheriff and others nearby were shocked but unharmed. She is survived by her husband and children.
