No Tax Hike Expected For Archdale In 1971 72 Budget
Archdale Mayor Henry York says the city likely will not raise the current 54 cent per 100 dollar valuation tax rate for the 1971 72 budget. The budget faces costs for three water test wells and shows a surplus of over 9 000 dollars. A new enforcement officer and street work will be funded with fees and Powell Bill funds. Delinquent taxes risk penalties and lien actions as the city plans to publish names of delinquents after council action.
