Germany Has Not Yet Released Dyestuffs

Washington reports no definite action by Germany to allow shipment of 15,000 tons of dyestuffs as promised. North Carolina mills and officials urged Senator Overman, who learned from Secretary Lansing that details and goods were not determined. Industry experts say the shipment is unlikely for months, given the ongoing war and weak prospects. Census data show U S dyestuff output rising from 1909 to 1914.
