Telephone Number Causes Confusion
Fire Chief E K Ingram warns that an old telephone number 2161 for the fire department still appears on calendars and pads causing missed calls after the 4577 change. A resident received a fire alert at a private number and the switchboard reported no call, prompting destruction of all items bearing 2161 to prevent further misdirected alarms.
