Funeral services were held for Patricia Peoples, 3, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W R Peoples of Kernersville route 2. Rev C B Way officiated at Ai Methodist Protestant Church with music by the Smith sisters. Interment followed in the church cemetery. The child died of pneumonia after two weeks of illness. Surviving are her parents, one brother, three sisters, and grandparents Mr. and Mrs J R Peoples.

A. A. Hergenrother, 60, a retired Wilmington postal employee, died at his sister Mrs James Mallett's home in Raleigh. He was a Germany native who moved to Wilmington in childhood and once served as acting post master there. Funeral services will be from St. Mary's church in Wilmington Monday morning.
