Central auditorium prepares for a New York inspired talent show with singing dancing drama and comedy acts. Rehearsals run daily culminating in dress rehearsal midweek under director Bob Amos and emcee Tim Blackburn with advisor Lee Andrews and an executive board.
The Youth Councils of North Carolina will host a Youth Legislative Assembly in Raleigh on April 25. About 100 high school students from across the state will participate as delegates to discuss race relations drugs environment youth employment and campus unrest. Delegates will propose solutions and present ideas to state government for possible action. Local juniors from participating schools will be elected as delegates to attend.

Thomasville High honored its 1970 71 wrestling and basketball teams as conference champions with undefeated seasons. Certificates were awarded to freshman and varsity players and to junior varsity wrestlers and cheerleaders. Varsity letters went to seven recipients. Students were urged to support track and baseball as the teams prepare for upcoming events.
Cinema Cafe at High Point Public Library screens Diamond Safari a journey into Guiana's jungle by air, land, and water in search of diamonds. The show features native villages and jungle life with scenic sequences and Indian tribes preparing foods. It runs at 12:15 p.m. in the audio-visual room with coffee and soft drinks.
