This week is challenge week for the bend issue election set for Tuesday March 7. Registration closed last Saturday at 8 o clock after removing challenged names. Ward 1 has 250 on file, No 3 has 145, No 3 has 192, Nov 4 shows 365, total 552. A vote of 427 ballots in favor will approve the $50 060 bond issue for permanent street improvements.

February reports show 47 births and 19 deaths in High Point area. City recorded 35 births and 17 deaths, while township outside Corporate limits had 12 births and 2 deaths. Births exceed deaths by a wide margin.
