Greensboro report states the Guilford County Board of Commissioners will consider a $4 997.31 bid from Jarrett Stationery Co High Point for wooden furnishings for the High Point welfare department and Domestic Relations Court. A $2 562 bid from Moore Electric Repair Co High Point for rural fire department wiring also awaits approval. 4 H members plan to attend and discuss programs as juries are drawn for the April Superior Court term and district fire district election returns canvassed.

Man On Work Release Is Given More Time
A local man serving an eight month work release for drunkenness failed to report to the prison camp and received 12 more months on the roads plus three months on an added offense. His work release privileges were revoked and other local cases included assaults with a knife, larceny, and numerous drunkenness convictions with varying sentences. Several defendants were bound over to Superior Court and others fined or placed on work release or probation.
