Giant tandem balloons carrying a 36 inch telescope on a Mars gazing mission landed north of Pulaski Tennessee. The 6 ton Stratoscope II rig launched Friday rose to about 80 000 feet and focused on Mars using the Moon and Betelgeuse. Data will be relayed to Earth by radio for infrared study of Martian atmosphere.
