United States Mobilizes Over 100000 Guardsmen for Mazatlan Clash

Officials of the Mexican embassy called at the State Department early today and left a communication stating that policy toward Mexico will not be changed. Washington dispatch from AP notes the brief exchange as government work continues.

Secretary Lansing reports rising tension across the border as 106,060 National Guardsmen in 45 states are placed under orders to mobilize for potential service. Raleigh June 19 The entire North Carolina National Guard is ordered on duty at home stations for mobilization ahead of training at Camp Glenn Morehead City. Six coast artillery companies and the naval militia join three infantry regiments two cavalry troops one field hospital corps and one ambulance company in mobilization.
