No Orders Issued On Coal Delivery
Washington reports no orders have been issued to control coal delivery by retailers though some Massachusetts dealers limited supply to ten days. Officials noted northeastern anthracite dealers were asked last winter to meet current needs even if it meant withholding from buyers with safe margins. They said no new directives were issued and some dealers may have mistaken an order about coal in transit as applying to held coal.
