Miss Nancy Jane Lucas daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Philip G. Lucas of 913 Forrest Avenue becomes engaged to Paul Douglas Kerr son of Mrs. Maizie K. Zais of Kingston and the late Paul G. Kerr. Lucas graduated from High Point College and edits the Hi Po paper while Kerr is a Guilford College rising sophomore and Guilfordian editor who served as freshman class president and Marine Corps veteran. A late August wedding is planned.
Miss Helen Carolyn Graham of Earl to wed John Thomas Moore Jr of Mount Airy. The ceremony is set for Sunday July 7 at 4:30 PM in the First Presbyterian Church Shelby. Graham serves as music director at a junior high. Moore works for Railway Express Company.
The WCTU will meet Tuesday at 3 p.m. at 218 Edgedale Dr. Mrs A J Argo will be guest speaker. Members are asked to bring baby layettes for refugee families.
Miss Martha Anne Moser and Jim Carlton Hall were married in an 8 o clock ceremony at Green Street Baptist Church. Dr E W Price Jr officiated as music by Fielding Kearns and Donald Scalf accompanied the vows. Attendants wore mint green dresses. brides bouquet white. grooms party included his father as best man. The bride is daughter of Mr and Mrs James Moser of 1401 Valley Ridge Dr. the groom is son of Mr and Mrs Rex Hall of 1215 E Green St. Both are High Point High School graduates.
