Vicki Ann Koonts Weds Mr. Smith In Thomasville
Vicki Ann Koonts daughter of Mrs. Bill G. Koonts and the late Koonts married Gary Warren Smith son of Mrs. Oscar E. Parrish and the late Robert Smith on July 12 at Zion United Church of Christ in Thomasville. Reverend Lynwood Hubbard officiated with music by Patsy Taylor and Pat Taylor. The bride wore a lavender lace and chiffon gown with elbow veil and carried a white Bible with a lavender orchid. A Led ford High School graduate, she works for Anvil Brand Inc. in High Point. Smith is a Thomasville High School graduate employed at Rex Plastics in Thomasville. The couple will reside on Route 6 after a beach trip. A reception followed at the bride’s mother’s home with relatives assisting.

A different color and flavor for old fashioned poundcake. Cream butter, add sugar, beat in eggs, sift and mix dry ingredients with milk, then fold in vanilla. Bake in a greased 10 inch tube pan at 325 degrees for 1 hour 40 minutes. Makes 12 to 14 servings.
