Northwest HP Sewer Outfall Costs May Hit City Budget

Northwest High Point gains sewer service with a $500,000 outfall project but faces up to $170,000 extra for rights of way mainly in Davidson County. Landowners demand $5 per foot, commissioners later set $7 to $10, with appeals filed on about 20 rulings. The project enables home construction in Greenwood Hills and other northwest areas, while future short outfalls will be needed for remaining zones.
