A Wilkes County native and Erlanger Mills retiree, she belonged to Pleasant Hills Baptist Church near Elkin. Survived by two daughters Jessie Holloman Thurman Morrison. four sons Grady Leo Roberts Billy Roberts J R Roberts. two sisters Maude Long Maggie Caudle. one brother Henry Money. Funeral 2 pm today at Arrington Heights Free Will Baptist Church. Burial 4:30 pm in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery near Elkin.

Mrs Alene Johnson 61 of Rt 1 Randleman died Sunday evening at Randolph County Hospital after two days of hospitalization. She was born July 4 1910 in Randolph County and was a Galilee United Church of Christ member. Survived by Olen Johnson husband three daughters Virginia Watkins Mozelle Smith Rosie Lee Hoskin three sons John Wesley Johnson Kermit Johnson Cletis Johnson 23 grandchildren one great grandson and three sisters Margaret Ervin Noella Hayes Virginia Belo. Funeral at Galilee United Church of Christ Wednesday 2 pm officiated by R L McLaughlin and Zollie Dunn burial in church cemetery. Body to Hairlip Funeral Home High Point then church one hour before service. Family at funeral home tonight 7 to 9 p.m.
