Admitted My Lai Killer Gets Immunity At Trial
Former soldier Paul David Meadle has been granted immunity to testify at Lt. William Calley’s court martial over the My Lai massacre. Meadle, from Terre Haute Indiana, said Calley ordered him to shoot and described firing about four clips into a group of about 45 civilians. He could be compelled to testify under a 1970 act and was ordered to Ft Benning when the trial resumes.
