Three engagements announce March weddings. Linda Bryant and Larry Small plan 4 p.m. vows March 16 at Greenwood Baptist Church in Thomasville. Sheila Beeson and Roy Miller schedule March 30 at Archdale Methodist Church. Shirley Cheves and William Routh Jr. will wed March 3 at Main Street Methodist Church.
The Halton Gaines couple announces the engagement of their daughter LaVerne to Jackie Gaines. A home is planned for June 5. LaVerne Halton is a Ragsdale High School graduate attending King Business College. Jackie Gaines is a William Penn High School graduate and Croft Business College student employed at Old Dominion Co. His mother is Mrs Connie Gaines of 800 Meredith St. The Auxiliary to the National Association of Letter Carriers meets Monday at 7:30 p.m. with Mrs George Howell at 904 E Farriss Ave.
Larry Green led a program on antiquing at the Wildflower Garden Club meeting held Thursday evening at 412 Edgedale Drive, with Mrs. Luna Ray presiding. Mrs. Worth Ivey delivered the council report as refreshments were provided by Mrs. Diffendal and others.
The bride and groom are named in a fragmented notice. Gary Hedrick of Thomasville served as best man with ushers Lloyd Myers Wayne Myers and Donnie Myers. The bride is a senior at High Point Central High School and the groom works at Circle Mfg Co Thomasville. A reception followed at the couple's home.
