Gas cutback date in North Carolina postponed to December twenty first

Raleigh AP The North Carolina Utilities Commission delayed the effective date of its natural gas cutback order from December 16 to at least December 21. The postponement follows a petition by the Attorney General and concerns from utility firms and gas consumers. The order requires all natural gas users to cut consumption to 85 percent of last winter, with penalties for higher usage, while a supplemental order will clarify allocation for new and interruptible customers. The commission noted mild winter and voluntary cuts lessen immediate impact on the state’s economy and aims to resolve questions on customer moves and penalty rates by December 21.

Your Good Health: Diabetes Not Considered Cured

Dear reader, diabetes does not become cured even when blood sugar is normal with treatment. The pancreas remains unable to produce enough insulin. Temporary remission can occur, but it signals underlying risk of future diabetes. Light headedness after meals may reflect low blood sugar from restricted intake or medication timing. Six small meals may help some people stop nibbling but likely won’t vastly change total calories. Ragweed tea is not a proven diabetes remedy.
