Woman May Retain Money Won In Suit
The North Carolina Supreme Court upheld a Superior court verdict awarding Mrs. Kate Saunders about 450 dollars for money loaned and services rendered during her marriage with W. W. Hinshaw. The case, involving claims to an estate after Hinshaw’s death while Saunders believed themselves married, followed similar rulings in Massachusetts and other states. Clifford Frazier represented Saunders with local attorneys aiding the defense.
