Warren revises talk on Hillman and campaign funding
In Los Angeles on August 31 Gov Earl Warren revised a speech criticizing Sidney Hillman and the CIO PAC for backing a fourth term for the president. He said a draft was sent to him the day before and altered for clarity. Warren denied knowledge of the original release by the Republican National Committee and noted the speech was killed at headquarters. O Mahoney claimed Warren Green and Baldwin altered their remarks for the same reason amid strong BP campaign signals.
