Search Planned for Port of Brunswick Flier Paul Redfern

In Miami and Tampa reports, three Biscayne seaplanes will search from the Bahamas to Turks Island for Paul Redfern, the Brunswick Georgia monoplane flyer who departed Thursday for South America. Weather officials say conditions are favorable and ships in Caribbean waters will watch for news from Redfern. No sightings have been reported by numerous vessels and wireless stations along the coast.

Ernest Parker Found Not Guilty by Nash Jury

Rockingham area report states Ernest Parker was acquitted of the January murder of Tom Brown at Langley’s Cross Roads after a trial in Nash superior court. The jury deliberated over 40 hours following testimony by the slain man’s widow and an eyewitness. Parker testified denying involvement. previous mistrial occurred due to illness.

Settlement Promised For Mutual Building and Loan Losses

In Raleigh on August 27 the Mutual Building and Loan Association and Raleigh Real Estate and Trust Company attorneys pledged a settlement by nightfall to repay about 500000 to 2400 shareholders and creditors on a dollar for dollar basis.
