Sons Of Late Angier Duke Get Big Sum

In New York Aug 27 the court of appeals ruled that the two sons of Angier B Duke will share more than 100000 dollars immediately and each receive about 20000 annually from a trust fund created by their father. The estate totaled over 10 million dollars with quarter shares designated to the sons. The remaining shares went to their mother and Mrs A J Drexel Biddle Jr.

Many Grade Crossings In N. C. Moved

North Carolina has eliminated seventeen grade crossings at a cost of 351463.77, bringing total eliminations to 73 since 1921. Current counts show 455 grade crossings on the highway system, with 36 overhead crossings and 36 underpasses, and average underpass or overhead cost about 14627.89. Major railroads led in eliminations this year with Norfolk Southern, Seaboard, and Norfolk and Western spending substantial sums.
