Southern Car ships 12 interurban cars to Lehigh Valley
The Southern Car company completed a shipment of 12 interurban cars to the Lehigh Valley Transit of Allentown, Pennsylvania, at an estimated total cost around 60 000 dollars. The cars are for service between Allentown and Philadelphia and feature motors, trucks, a smoking compartment, lights and heating. Eight cars traveled via the Southern route and four via the Carolina and Yadkin river, with the end panels bearing Made by the Southern Car company High Point North Carolina.
