Raleigh Gets Heavy Rainfall
The rainfall eased Raleighs water shortage but did not end it. A thunderstorm dumped up to two inches, boosting the Neuse River flow to its highest level in three weeks and hindering long term relief. Five million gallons of water released from Beaver Dam Creek Reservoir plus daily releases from Butner were noted.
