Nude Bathers Provoke Cape Cod Citations In Peaceful Protest
At Head of the Meadow Beach in Truro, Massachusetts a small nude protest against a federal ban drew about 600 visitors and four park citations. Organizers had hoped for 4,000, and many attendees remained clothed as rangers issued four citations to violators. The scene shifted when a tug of war led many to shed garments, with about 100 people nude briefly. A handful left the beach and faced park rangers. Meanwhile unrelated notes covered a missing girl case in Ocala, Florida with police unsure if abduction or runaway. The case centers on a churchgoing, responsible youth described as bright and sensitive, with authorities stating one lead exists but nothing conclusive.
