Jeff Burroughs hit his second grand slam of the season as Texas built a five run fourth inning against Jim Kaat and defeated the Chicago White Sox 12 5. Burroughs drove in six and raised his AL leading 86 RBIs. Texas rode Jim Bibby who allowed a hitless third through fifth and pulled away with late runs including a two run triple by Joe Loyd.
The Cleveland Indians trailed 5-2 after one inning but hit four homers and the decisive runs came on Frank Duffy's two run single in the sixth inning to defeat Milwaukee.
Buffalo AP report says running back O J Simpson expects some Bills to report to camp if talks don’t progress by Tuesday. NFL owners and NFL Players Association reps to resume negotiations, Simpson to join camp when majority report. none of the Bills regulars have yet shown up.

The Central Blue and White Boosters Club will hold its 1974 organizational meeting Monday Aug. 5 at 8 p.m. in the school gymnasium. All members and interested persons are invited to attend and meet the Bison coaching staff and Boosters officers.
