Medina Not Seen As Trigger Man

The Army charges Capt. Ernest Medina with premeditated murder for My Lai killings but seeks to prove his responsibility by neglecting to stop the massacre rather than showing he fired the shots. Medina pleads innocent as court martial resumes August 16 with over 40 witnesses expected.

Federal crime insurance program opens in nine states

The program starts Aug. 1 in Connecticut Illinois Maryland Massachusetts Missouri New York Ohio Pennsylvania Rhode Island and the District of Columbia. It offers up to 5000 for homes and 15000 for businesses against robbery and burglary with annual premiums from 60 to 80 dollars for homes and varying rates for businesses. Deductibles range by receipts and residence status.
