Apollo 15 Begins Moon Walk From Hadley Base

Apollo 15 commander David R Scott became the seventh human to foot the lunar surface at Hadley Base and was joined by James Irwin for the first moon buggy expedition. Alfred Worden orbited in the Endeavour, photographing and mapping about 20 percent of the moon as Scott and Irwin prepared for three six to seven hour driving excursions toward Hadley Rille and the Apennine Mountains, with the pair reporting a smooth, rolling surface and numerous shallow craters that challenged landing.

Speaking at a pro football dinner tied to the Hall of Fame enshrinement, he urged Americans not to let others pass us by. Doctors Save Teenager's Arm in Los Angeles Incident

All Nippon Airways crash victims recovered after disaster

Tokyo police said all 162 people aboard the All Nippon Airways Boeing 727 perished in Friday’s crash, with investigators questioning 22 year old parachuting pilot Ichikawa and Capt. Kuma from a nearby training flight who described the collision and radar data placing the jet at 28 000 feet en route from Sapporo to Tokyo near the Winter Olympics site.
