Local retailers report steady radio demand despite TV popularity. Shoppers trade radios into big sets then buy radios again, preferring bedroom clock radios and kitchen AM FM units. Console radios suffer as television rises, though portable radios spark beach and picnic interest.
Trinity High School seniors present the three act comedy Teen Time in the school auditorium with cast members including Wendy Meade Betsy Andrews and Joe Hucks. Performances start Friday and Saturday at 8 pm and feature a plot about teens suspected of delinquency tied to their debt to a businesswoman.

The mother and daughter survived a severe crash at Central Avenue and C.C. Camp Road with extensive injuries including fractures pelvis and leg. After eight weeks in hospital they recovered enough to return home under Maxine Edens care on Centennial Avenue extension. She plans first steps in June and to walk by July while running a thriving chihuahua dog breeding business with sixty dogs.
