Morganton Leader Colonel D C Pearson Dead
D C Pearson of Morganton died this morning at 7 after a long illness. He lived to his 72nd birthday and suffered paralysis for much of the last six months. Known as Colonel Pearson, he was a prominent Morganton figure and a Confederate veteran who later served as postmaster during the Roosevelt era.
