Lancaster Conference in Hershey Next Week
The fall convention of the Lancaster Conference of the Lutheran Church will meet at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church Hershey on Tuesday and Wednesday October 23 and 24 with sessions at 10 00 am 2 00 pm 7 00 pm Tue and 9 00 am Wed Open to the public a vesper service Tue 7 00 pm features organ recital by Clark Bare Preceded by a conference program including Holy Communion reports election and several discussions. The event draws 100 plus pastors and delegates from Harrisburg Lebanon Dauphin and Lancaster counties and is hosted by Holy Trinity congregation.

Hershey firemen host a two week fair in the Hershey Winter Dance Hall beginning October 20 with Drescher's 8 piece orchestra. On October 24 masquerade dances feature Masqueraders of Reading and tunes like Toot Toot Tootsie. October 27 brings University Club Orchestra Harrisburg performing as dance hypnotists with lively tunes and prizes for costumes.

Christ Maulfair a long time Hershey real estate expert died at his Chocolate Avenue home on Sunday morning nearing age 83. He helped sell vast Lebannon and Dauphin County lands and secured Hershey farm purchases and a transit right of way. Funeral was held Wednesday at his home with interment in Evergreen cemetery Annville. survived by widow, daughter-in-law Anna Maulfair and two grandchildren Ralph Maulfair and Mrs R Bilngaman, Reading.
