One Cent Per Mile Rail Fare For Legion Convention
A one cent a mile rate, valid on Pullmans across the territory from the Atlantic to the Mississippi and from New England to Ohio, has been granted for American Legion delegates and visitors to the Kansas City national convention, October 31 to November 2. The Trunk Line Association arranged the rate, with W W Atterbury announcing. The event will host war leaders including Marshal Foch, as preparations aim to accommodate about 100,000 attendees.
